John R. Guice, Jr. is a Registered Patent Attorney with extensive engineering and patent prosecution experience.  Mr. Guice is admitted to practice law in Virginia (2008), Tennessee (1993) and the District of Columbia (1995), and has been a Registered Patent Attorney since 1995.  Mr. Guice’s patent prosecution experience includes drafting patent applications, preparing amendments, drafting appeal briefs, conducting interviews with Patent Examiners, conducting patentability searches, and managing patent post-allowance issue and publication fees.  Mr. Guice primarily prepares and prosecutes patent applications (Utility and Design Applications) in the mechanical and electro-mechanical arts, includingmechanical and electrical-mechanical devices, fabrication equipment, industrial machines, fasteners, semi-conductors, computer hardware, miscellaneous hardware, communication, dental, and medical devices.

Mr. Guice’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama (1984) and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Mississippi College School of Law (1993).  Mr. Guice also served as a legal clerk in the 7th Circuit Court in Jackson, Mississippi.
